The works were carried out nationally by Stowe Australia. Stowe provided a dedicated Project Management team to enable central control and a provide McDonald’s one point of contact for the works.
The works during this time consisted of the NEWPOS project and the Deli Choices project. Generally the work involved the cabling of cash registers, kitchen monitors, printers and EFTPOS terminals that comprise the store IT system. A large percentage of the works was carried out after hours to enable the stores to trade as normal during the project. Stowe had to work closely with McDonalds nominated systems Integrator, Fujitsu, to ensure a smooth delivery of service.
During the project, Stowe Australia was pro-active in introducing cabling innovations and re-designed the kitchen cabling system. We also took on the task of updating and maintaining the installation guide, which ensures consistent levels of service are provided across Australia.
