We are committed to being responsible corporate citizens, which is why we believe that sustainability is more than a responsibility; it’s an opportunity to innovate, lead and create long-term value for future generations.

How we care

At Stowe Australia, we understand that our industry plays a vital role in addressing environmental challenges. That’s why we’re committed to embedding sustainability across every aspect of our operations, from reducing carbon emissions and energy use to promoting responsible resource management and waste reduction.

Working closely with our clients and partners, we integrate sustainable practices into our design, delivery and maintenance services. Guided by Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) principles, we continue to invest in cleaner technologies, improve energy performance, and support the transition to a low-carbon future, creating long-term value for our communities, our industry and the environment.

The Environment

We believe it is our responsibility to minimise the risk of negative environmental impact, which is why our business is certified for ISO 14001 with the addition of environmental policies and implementation of recycling programs to conserve resources and reduce waste.

We monitor and report on emissions as part of our commitment to environmental accountability. Through regular reporting and continuous improvement initiatives, we aim to reduce our carbon footprint and promote sustainable business practices across all operations.

Social Good

We’re all about people, which is why we continuously support and develop our staff and actively partner with the communities around us. From Apprentices to General Managers, we have developed a Capability Framework to guide our training initiatives across all levels of the business. Our training program combines online and face-to-face learning, incorporating nationally accredited courses delivered by external providers as well as bespoke courses tailored to address specific business needs. Since 2021, we have been running an Apprentice Mentoring Program to support first-year apprentices in their transition from school to the workplace.

Charities and partnerships

We directly support several charities and benefit organisations such as Beyond Blue, the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network, the Cancer Council and the White Cloud Foundation.

Our staff members also regularly participate in high school career events, where they share insights into the opportunities and career paths within the electrical trade.

We are also a Supply Nation member which means we partner with several Indigenous-controlled organisations to increase the number of Indigenous apprentices in our workforce. Additionally, we have enhanced our supply chain by incorporating a great range of products and services sourced from Indigenous suppliers.

We also report annually on our Indigenous spend to support transparency and progress. In addition, we are a member of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), promoting diversity and equal opportunity across the construction industry.
