APPRENTICESHIPS
Stowe Australia strongly supports the development of the future leaders of the electrical and communications industry in Australia via its Apprentice program.
As an electrical apprentice with Stowe you will be supported through your formal training, and receive varied on the job experience across the breadth of the electrical and communications industry in the industrial and commercial sectors.
Stowe Australia sources apprentices through leading organisations such as NECA and ElectroGroup.
New Sydney Fish Market Project
/in Project Updates /by Stowe ITThe New Sydney Fish Market, set to open in 2025, is a major project for Sydney, costing around $750 million. It’s designed to boost the local seafood industry with modern facilities that cater to both locals and tourists.
Stowe Australia is playing a key role in the Sydney Fish Market redevelopment, powering the entire project. They’re handling all the connectivity, data systems, cabling, and electrical work, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Stowe Australia uses advanced software like Autodesk Construction Cloud, Oracle Aconex, Revisto, and Bluebeam. These tools keep the Stowe Project Team, Multiplex, and external stakeholders updated with the latest information, helping them make better decisions and coordinate effectively.
Our work covers all areas of the market, including wholesale and retail spaces across the lower ground, upper ground, and mezzanine levels. Stowe is responsible for installing security systems, access controls, and lighting, making sure the market is safe, efficient, and welcoming.

CANBERRA ACT PROJECT TEAM ARE OUR WINNERS – AMAZING RESULT!
/in Project Achievements /by Stowe ITCongratulations Stowe Australia on taking out the Commercial Large Project of the Year at the 2024 NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association) ACT Excellence Awards.
The NECA Awards are the top honours in Australia’s electrical and communications industry. They recognise national excellence and professionalism. Entering the awards provides Stowe Australia a chance to be recognised for its outstanding achievements.
This world-class project has earned them a nomination for the 2024 NECA National Awards in November. We look forward to seeing it among the finalists.
Our Canberra Project Team led by JonPaul consists of the below who have done incredible work on the Acute Services Building at Canberra Hospital.
The effort and hard work put in behind the scenes and on construction is indescribable. The Project Team faced personal challenges, being away from family and unable to support their partners daily. Other challenges included the project’s length, commitment required, travel, living in Canberra, and extensive training and inductions for the ACT construction site.
Stowe Australia were selected by Multiplex Construction to perform the works on the new Canberra Hospital is a 45,000 m² stand-alone building housing the most acute services and will be the first point of contact for all emergency patients arriving by air, ambulance, or self-presentation. It includes clinical spaces, plant spaces, a helipad, and parking for two helicopters in service simultaneously. The Works include the design, documentation, coordination, certification, supply, delivery, installation, commissioning, testing, programming, data entry, service activation, maintenance, quality assurance, and warranty of electrical, communications, security, and audio-visual services, some of the scope outlined below:

2024 Sydney Apprentice Development Day
/in Uncategorised /by Stowe ITWe’re pleased and proud to announce that our 2024 Sydney Apprentice Development Day was a huge success with over 100 apprentices attending a full day of learning at Canterbury Leagues Club.
Apprentices rotated between 10 technical displays and participated in team-building activities at the indoor sports centre.
One of the main highlights of the day, was a presentation by ex-NRL player and coach Kurt Wrigley on teamwork and followship.
Talented subject matter experts (SME’s) from various Stowe divisions and partners like Panduit, Milwaukee, NHP, Vass & Cabac contributed to the event.
Thank you to everyone who made this day possible. Together, we are shaping a brighter future for our apprentices and setting the stage for excellence!
