Armidale Hospital Redevelopment



Stowe Australia was engaged by Richard Crookes Construction to deliver the full electrical and communications package for the $60 million Armidale Hospital Redevelopment, commissioned by Health Infrastructure NSW.

The redevelopment addresses the region’s growing healthcare needs with a new four-storey hospital building housing a state-of-the-art Emergency Department, four operating theatres and a procedure room, a Critical Care Unit, an expanded inpatient ward, a sterilising unit, and day surgery facilities.
The project enhances clinical capacity, efficiency, and patient care for the broader New England region.
Stowe’s comprehensive scope of works included:
- Main switchboards and distribution boards
- Cable pathways and cabling
- Essential and non-essential power systems, isolation switches, power outlets, floor boxes, and skirting ducts
- Â Internal and external lighting
- Lighting control system
- Â Lightning protection
- Structured voice and data cabling system with optical fibre and copper backbone
- Medical service panels
- 1145 kVA backup generator plant
- UPS systems
