Stowe Australia was engaged by CPB Contractors to deliver the complete electrical, communications, security, and nurse call systems for the Coffs Harbour Health Campus Expansion.
The scope included power, lighting, structured cabling, UPS, generator, helipad lighting, and integration with existing hospital infrastructure to support the new five-storey clinical services building.
The $194 million redevelopment included the construction of a new five-storey clinical services building featuring a rooftop helipad, expanded Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, operating theatres, maternity and paediatric units, and increased capacity for inpatient, critical care, chemotherapy, and renal dialysis services.
Stowe’s design and construct scope, delivered to BIM LOD 500 standards, included:
- Main switchboards and sub-main distribution boards
- Essential and non-essential power systems, UPS and 900 kW backup generator plant
- Structured voice and data cabling, fibre and copper backbone, communications racks, patch panels, and outlets
- Power outlets, floor boxes, isolation switches, and skirting ducts
- Internal lighting and façade/carpark external lighting
- Lighting control system, radiation and helipad warning lights
- Security, access control, CCTV and nurse call systems
- Medical service panels and services integration
- All services staged and integrated with the existing hospital infrastructure

The new facility was fully integrated into the existing hospital campus, with staged connections and refurbishments to maintain live operations.
Delivered in a live healthcare environment, the project required strict coordination with clinical teams to ensure service continuity and compliance with health infrastructure standards, while supporting the future healthcare needs of the Coffs Harbour community.
