CSL Banksia

Project Banksia is a state-of-the-art facility that uses innovative cell-based technology to produce influenza vaccines for use in both influenza pandemics and seasonal vaccination programs. In addition, the facility will produce unique products important to Australia’s public health needs – including antivenom for Australian snakes, spiders and marine creatures.

Stowe competitively tendered the project; in which we displayed our ability to design and procure major items as well as our internal ability to deliver a project this large at the highest quality.
Our strong in-house engineering and drafting team assisted considerably with turning the 70% design received into a 100% coordinated design with no clashes.

With installation of 200mm conduits in the utility yard for the biotech pits, Stowe had to ensure that the installation of these conduits was done in a safe manner, as the 200mm conduit weights 50kg per metre.
There were also several other unique challenges for this site which as always, Stowe needed to apply creative thinking and meticulous coordination to succeed at.
Stowe’s internal business also Ecoview designed and installed a Dynalite lighting control system for the project, which ensures auto on and off functions for both internal and external lighting as needed, as part of our sustainability commitment for the project.
