Stowe Australia is currently partnering with Lend Lease to deliver the $1.1 billion redevelopment of Frankston Hospital in Victoria. This is the largest ever health infrastructure investment in Melbourne’s South East, which Stowe are proud to have been selected to deliver on.
The redevelopment will transform services at the hospital, delivering a new tower with 12 levels of clinical services, 130 more beds, new spaces for mental health, oncology services and 15 new operating theatres.
Stowe’s extensive scope is currently in progress, and is in the electrical fit-off and commissioning phase.
In a live hospital environment there are multiple challenges to address, such as no disruptions to patients, infection control, service disruptions, noise reduction and ongoing coordination and communication with all departments. Construction has been tightly coordinated with hospital administration to successfully minimise disruptions to the live hospital environment as this important work is carried out.
