Ivanhoe Bus Depot EV Chargers

The Ivanhoe Bus Depot was assigned to become Victoria’s first electric only bus depot as part of the Victorian government’s environmental plans.

Stowe Australia were engaged to manage the installation, including all contractor management. The project required a new 3000Amp HV kiosk, pillar board and new main switchboard, the abolishment of the three existing connections to site and rationalising back to one main supply.
The works also included site drainage, and a new concrete hardstand. Stowe were also required to install a total of 14 free issue Tritium charges, that are required to power the newly acquired bus fleet.
The existing bus depot was to remain operational during construction. This meant that staging and coordination on site was critical. We were required to work with the site’s Operations Manager to implement Traffic Management Plans that had minimal impact on both operation and construction.
