Stowe Australia was contracted by the Queensland Government to upgrade the architectural LED lighting on Brisbane’s iconic Kurilpa Bridge and has maintained the bridge lighting system since completion.
The project scope included installing new LED fixtures on the bridge’s masts and canopy, supplying, and laying DMX-controlled and power cabling, and deploying a state-of-the-art lighting control system to enable dynamic, programmable illumination. The redesign significantly improved lighting precision, colour saturation, and visual impact while reducing maintenance demands.
Once completed in 2022 Stowe Australia has continued to provide annual maintenance services for the upgraded system, ensuring colour consistency, system uptime, and compliance with specified performance standards. Our proactive approach to servicing and calibration helps preserve the visual integrity of the lighting design while aligning with sustainability goals leveraging the bridge’s embedded solar power system, which generates between 75% and 100% of its energy needs.
