Mater Hospital Springfield – Stage 2

Stowe Australia is proudly delivering electrical infrastructure for the landmark Mater Springfield Hospital expansion in Brisbane – enhancing healthcare with new operating theatres, critical care services, and a future-ready central energy plant.

This is one of Stowe Queensland’s largest projects to date, often exceeding 100 workers on site.
Our extensive scope on this world-class facility includes electrical, communications, ICT and Security and covers specific key areas such as high voltage, low voltage, power distribution, lighting and emergency systems, surge protection systems, fuel systems, earthing and bonding, communications and ICT, security and access control, specialised medial systems, integration and interfacing, commissioning and compliance, BIM coordination and more.

Working on such a major project requires complex coordination across both trades and systems to achieve successful outcomes, including items such as coordinating and executing the lift of a 26 tonne HV Generator into Level Two of the Central Energy Plant.
To add to the complexity of the project, Queensland’s Cyclone Alfred in early 2025 caused unavoidable site delays. To address this, Stowe proactively ramped up resourcing and adjusted workflows to keep the project on track and protect our client’s program.
We look forward to bringing you this completed project in 2026!
