Nepean Hospital High Voltage Feeder & Switchroom

A new high voltage (HV) switchroom was required at the hospital to enable operations in the event of upstream HV outages. Stowe Australia was engaged to design and construct the switchroom, as well as to transition all existing HV cables including two Endeavour Energy feeder cables into the new facility.

The existing High Voltage (HV) switchroom at Nepean Hospital lacked local operational capability, requiring all HV outages to be switched remotely via the Endeavour Energy zone substation.
To address this limitation, Stowe Australia was engaged to design and construct a new HV switchroom and to cut over nine existing HV supplies, including two Endeavour Energy HV cables into the newly constructed facility.
The majority of the HV cutovers affected critical areas of the hospital, making precise outage scheduling essential to avoid disruptions to hospital operations.
