In a bold initiative to elevate one of Australia’s premier entertainment and sports venues, Stowe Australia recently partnered with Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney Olympic Park to deliver a state-of-the-art lighting upgrade.
The Arena now features an energy-efficient, high-performance, LED lighting system that aims to significantly reduce power consumption, deliver superior brightness and coverage and provides flexible and tailored lighting effects and configurations, allowing for seamless transitions between events.
This landmark project transformed the Arena into a world-class, cutting-edge facility that can accommodate the lighting needs of modern sports, live broadcasts and entertainment events, setting a new benchmark for venues across the country and reinforcing Stowe Australia’s reputation as a leader in large-scale, complex electrical projects.
The live nature of the venue added complexity to the project as any delays could have impacted both events and project timelines. This required careful planning and coordination with event staff to ensure minimal disruption to events while maintaining strict safety standards.
Working in an enclosed venue also presented the significant challenge of limited daylight especially when conducting works at heights.
Leveraging Stowe’s industry expertise, this project required our precision, innovation, skillful execution and project management flexibility to fit around the Arena’s strict event calendar – but the Arena now shines brighter than ever!
