Stowe Australia had the privilege of being awarded and completing successfully, on time and under budget, the refurbishment of the Grand Lobby of The Star Sydney.
The refurbishment was of the western precinct of their iconic casino and hotel. This exciting project involved creating Australia’s first 8k, 25 metre curved LED screen, a permanently installed water show, 4,800 gold rings spanning over three levels, custom made revolving doors, 40,000+ individual pieces of stone and 2,000+ light fittings.
The captivating crescent-shaped screen which shows off the work of Australian artists, university students, cinematographers and animators and is reactive to the real-world environment and human movement to immerse guests in the experience.
There was a limited timeframe available for the core electrical works installation milestones to coincide with delivery and the Australia-first installation of the French Aquatique water feature.
Stowe maintained safe and adequate public access through the corridors and to the Casino and Gaming floor to ensure business was not interrupted. We also minimised impact during periods of planned power supply outages and construction works.
