The Victorian Heart Hospital, located on the Monash University Clayton Campus, is Australia’s first state-of-the-art, specialist cardiac hospital. The hospital provides innovative, holistic and patient-centred care as well as world-leading research and education.
Due to our extensive experience in the heath care sector, Stowe Australia were engaged by the company John Holland in the early contract involvement (ECI) journey of the hospital build, to provide an electrical and communications turnkey solution.
Some of Stowe’s scope included low voltage, high voltage, power generation, DAS radio and mobile, nurse call and PA and structured cabling.
Given the importance of the continuity of power supply to a hospital, Stowe proposed, designed and engineered a closed transition return to mains from generator that mitigated a second power loss on return.
