The Western Sydney Stadium Project (now called CommBank Stadium) is a $300 Million development comprising of a brand new 30,000 seat stadium with an active public realm.
Stowe Australia were proudly engaged for the full design and construction of the new Western Sydney Stadium, which began in 2017 and continued until its opening in April 2019.
The aim was to make the Stadium the centrepiece of the Parramatta region, creating a state-of-the-art sporting venue along with a public realm area allowing local families and business to utilise at their leisure.
One of Stowe’s features includes 268 state-of-the -art LED sports lights, which are configured in what is known as the ‘Ring of Fire’. This configuration ensures the lighting levels are perfectly matched to the technical requirements of broadcasting cameras to deliver crystal television viewing and creates an unparalleled night-time sports stadium viewing experience.
These days, the Stadium showcases the very best of major sports along with a range of events that engage communities across NSW. It also includes retail food and beverage outlets, corporate patron function and commercial kitchen facilities, as well as broadcast and media suites.
