Whiddon Grafton Residential Aged Care Facility




Stowe Australia was engaged by Woollam Constructions to deliver the complete electrical and communications package for the two-stage redevelopment of the Whiddon Grafton aged care facility.


Located in the heart of Grafton, the project involved the construction of a modern, purpose-built residential aged care home offering 112 beds, a secure dementia care wing, in-house health services, communal spaces, landscaped gardens and enhanced resident amenities.
Designed to suit the region’s climate and lifestyle, the facility includes on-site kitchens, a café, and additional car parking.
Stowe’s scope of work included:
- Temporary electrical services and demolition works
- ASP Level 1 construction and installation of a new 750kVA substation
- Main switchboard and distribution board installations
- Underground electrical reticulation and cable pathways
- 400kVA standby generator for emergency backup
- General power cabling, fittings, and outlets
- Internal and external lighting
- Lighting control system
- Structured communications system with cabling, outlets and racks
- Nurse call and MATV systems
- Integrated security, access control, and CCTV systems
The 112-bed redevelopment provides a modern and safe facility that enhances the quality of life for residents and staff.
