Description
The Project was the redevelopment of Werribee Plaza Shopping Centre located at the corner of Heaths and Derrimut Roads in Werribee Victoria.
The original shopping centre was 30 years old and the site has undergone a total redevelopment which included demolishing portions of the existing centre and construction of new 3 storey carparking, a large mall, major Tenants such as Target, Myer, H&M, Plaza Tavern and Restaurants along with the upgrade of the original village cinema complex and the addition of 140 new speciality stores.
Stowe was contracted to provide a design and construct solution for the Power services, Lighting services, Communication Services and finally the Security services for the Centre and major tenants.
The Power services provided by Stowe included 4 new Main switchboards for the new East and West 2500Kva substations, the installation of consumer mains along with submains to the new distribution boards, new tenancy meter panels, major tenants, speciality stores and mechanical services Switchboards.
The Lighting services included specialist lighting throughout the public areas, back of house lighting to Plantrooms, Passages and included an interface to the new Lighting control system and Mechanical BMS. The installation also required a monitored wireless Emergency and exit lighting system and outdoor security Pole lighting.
The Communications services included the installation of a complete backbone system throughout the centre, the installation of a new CFA radio antenna system, MDF room and associated phone Cabling to all new tenancies.
The Security services installation included a new access control and intruder detection along with a new IP based CCTV system to replace the existing system. Duress Alarms were also installed in all the public toilets and Parents Rooms.
Stowe Australia completed this installation on time during which the Centre continued to operate at full capacity.
